Hello. I am Rebecca Lake. My Dad and his brothers all had heart disease and diabetes, so I bought the books "How to Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease" by Dr. Esselstyn and "How to Prevent and Reverse Diabetes" by Dr. Barnard and they both said exactly the same thing: Don't eat any meat, or dairy or oil! Ridding your diet from these foods and oil not only help you avoid heart disease and diabetes, but also help you avoid cancers and autoimmune diseases like lupus and multiple sclerosis and countless other maladies. This website contains vegan recipes that I found on the web and I modified them to make them oil-free, and whole grain. I still eat iodized salt and very little to none cane sugar(regular sugar is GMO and I was eating GMO-free before I began eating Whole Food Plant Based (WFPL))so the recipes may contain either or both of those items. I also eat Whole Grains so I eat only 100% Whole Wheat Bread(which is Whole Wheat Bread where the second ingredient is "vital wheat gluten" and not "wheat flour" which is really white flour:( not a whole grain!, and lentils and quinoa and groats. Eat well!
